The 2nd 1/2 is finally started!

So the footings are poured for the 2nd 1/2 of house!

There is still a mound of dirt to move out of there before the 

next  step-not sure how they get it out!

This is the plumbing rough in for the bathroom and laundry room of 

the 2nd floor

So these are the plumbers putting in the radon venting and 

roughing in the plumbing shown above!

The men have put in the iron posts to support beams that will be coming

Now you can see all 3 posts.  The beams will form a T on top of these posts

to support the garage above.   Pictures in future will make more sense

The gravel is laid for the pour of cement to form the slab of floor for the back 1/2 of the

2nd floor which is the rec room, 3 bedrooms and a bath/laundry room

Now you see the lay out with the footings!  And to think our contractor went on vacation

This week and next when we are under such a tight schedule, according to him!!

So finally the footings are poured for the second 1/2 of the house

They are large, and we are getting concerned about running out of good weather to build!

The Sub roofing and spaces

This originally was drawn by Wolf with just trusses in it,

but Robert said we may as well have it for closet space, YEAH ROBERT!

I may have put this in but it is just sub flooring to stand on the deck to work off!

So this shows the holes dug for the footings and the first half of the house with the roof sheeting on

This shows how high the vaulted ceiling is to accomodate a stained glass window we are putting in!

See how this side of the house is starting to come together!

So these should be big footings to hold 2 stories, the upper 

being the garage level

I guess this shows that in fact. we have a drainage pipe

for all the sewer lines!!
