Just to give you some insight into what we have had to do to get to this point:
*Survey done in fall of 2008
*Title search in August of 2009
*Boundary line adjustment in January 2010
*Address search in March 2010
*Going before the board of commissioners for a variance in April 2010
(this was the most traumatic)
*Going before the board again in September 2010
(we adjusted our power point to accomodare their wishes)
*Researching several contractors, excavators and taking them to the site
*Drawing up an easement only to be rejected by the neighbor and he had one drawn up and we changed some of the language before signing. (The neighbor's house imposes upon our property boundary)
*Countless phone calls and trips to Newport to get things in order to further the process
*Working with a man named Wolf to get the plans on paper (he is good but challenging)
*Working with Robert who graciously drew up the structural plans (he is a structural engineer and Nick's counselor in the Bishopric) Because of him we will have a sound and well built structure!
*Permits are approved December 2010
*Footings are poured for the basement in May 2011
* Now working with a great contractor-Lonnie who sends us email photos almost daily to keep us up on the progress of the job!
