Setting the trusses for the garage!

The trusses are being delivered by crane!

The trusses laying on the ground next to the garage--ready!

The first trusses being hand lifted up because the crane couldn't lift them, the power lines
were in the way!
Half of them are up with the other half to go!

Two of the men working on UP on the trusses.  Those monkeys!

Almost done!  It's starting to finally look like a house!

The 2nd Floor is being framed today!

We have just had an incredible snow storm Wednesday & Thursday the 18th &  19th of January!  It put down over a foot of snow in 2 days so they were able to start framing under the garage and the men will start the framing of the garage next Monday so I will post pictures as they appear!!  yeah!  great progress!  We met with one guy this week and will meet with another guy next week about log accents!

So these are the walls for the 2 bedrooms side by side

The Laundry/Bathroom is on the Left and the 3rd Bedroom is on the right.
These are on the opposite end of the 2 Bedrooms previously.

A closer shot to the entry doors to the Laundry on Left and Bedroom on Right with a storage room on the front right side!

A more direct View of the 2 Bedrooms side by side!

The Garage Floor Slab is poured in January 2012

So here are two pictures of the gridwork of the rebar for the 4" slab garage floor!
Notice how it is level with the road!  It is supposedly several inches higher than the road!

Notice the caulking or sealing of the seams of the planks!

This picture is to show how the rebar from the walls below are bent up and over to become
part of the 4" slab, intertwined with the grid of rebar.

Ready for the pour of the cement!

Pouring the outside perimeter first and then the floor of the slab

Several men working on this last big pour!
Wa La, instant cement garage floor slab with Lonnie's shadow taking the picture!

Shot taken from the opposite side of the house.  So grateful for mild winter weather!

Starting to frame the cement box

So surprisingly, they are starting to frame the 2nd floor now that it is encapsulated with cement
walls, floor, and ceiling (planks)

You can see that it is open to the downstairs window wall!
That's all that was sent today.  We'll see if anything else happens.  They are possibly going to
pour the 4" slab Wednesday or Thursday and wait a couple weeks to let it cure before framing up on top of it.  Patience is a virtue!  We have been blessed with great weather!
