The New Fire Pit!

So we saw this firepit from a guy that was giving us a bid for the furnace!

So it is out of a bottom of a propane tank with a duck etched out of steel!

Then there are pine trees & an elk!

And of course a moose on one side!
So it took a forklift to put it in the back of Nick's SUV & 4 men to carry it down to the beach!
They had to balance and work @ manuevering it!
Then we get it to the beach to settle it into it's home!
And this is a video of then moving it if the video works!

So we got it set and ready for a fire that evening!

It looks so great when a fire is going in it and the characters are enhanced by the flames!!!

The Making & Process of Installing of the Exterior Stairs

So this is the story of the stairs which were a necessity, but also one of three requirements by the              inspector before he would give us our full occupancy.
First, the men had to bring the stair parts on a barge, borrowed from Marty next door, from the boat launch to our place.
They had to unload piece by heavy piece!
And lug each piece up very carefully!
These were such heavy pieces-several hundred pounds each!

After getting the pieces there, the first piece is attached to the deck with huge bolts!

Then the other side railing is attached.  Each step takes quite a bit of time!

After getting the center on, they start with the first step tred!
They even powder coated the screw bolts that hold the treds down!

They worked till dark that day, then had to come back the next day to finish.  They were hoping to finish in the one day.  It took most of the next day to finish!

But doesn't it look nice and no maintenance is the best of all!!! It is done for the family reunion! It is so nice to be able to go down these stairs to the water!  YEAH!!!!
